Evenings are a good time to see the flying foxes, which is in fact a very large bat. Just as darkness settles, you often catch shadows crossing the sea side in full view of all rooms and the main verandah with its commanding view of the ocean. They pass in search of rotting papayas that they gorge in, and there are plenty of Papaya trees on the land around the resort.
